Castries, Saint Lucia — Founded 1997
A Santuary of Hope,
a Cornerstone of Compassion
Since opening our doors in 1997, HFCH has served as a vital lifeline for children who have faced the unimaginable: abandonment, abuse, and the loss of family. We offer the safety, love, and foundation every child deserves.

Our History & Foundation
Our Story
Our story began through a unique, cross-continental partnership between the Archdiocese of Castries, the Good News Project, Inc. (based in Wisconsin, USA), and the Dominican Sisters of Our Lady of Delivrande. Born from a shared vision of social justice and Christian love, HFCH opened its doors in 1997.
"We are not just providing a home — we are building a future. Every child deserves to feel valued."
HFCH remains one of only two residential care facilities of its kind on the island, filling a critical gap in our nation’s social fabric for children who have faced the unimaginable: abandonment, abuse, and the loss of family.
Currently serving children from birth to age 10, HFCH is currently raising funds to build a forever home for the children of the Home — a permanent, purpose-built facility for generations of Saint Lucian children to come.

Our Mission: Beyond Shelter
Mission & Vision
At the Holy Family Children’s Home, we believe that every child is a gift. Our mission is to provide more than just a roof over their heads — we provide a childhood.
Our Mission
"Our mission is to provide more than just a roof over their heads — we provide a childhood. Currently serving children from birth to age 10, we offer a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where the scars of the past can begin to heal."
Our Vision
"We envision a Saint Lucia where no child is left to face the world alone — committed to expanding our resources so that every child who enters our doors leaves with the confidence and foundation they need to thrive in the wider world."
Holistic Development
The Four Pillars of Our Care
Under the dedicated guidance of the Dominican Sisters of Our Lady of Delivrande, alongside our passionate Board of Directors and professional staff, we focus on the holistic development of every child in our care.
Comprehensive Healthcare
Addressing both immediate medical needs and long-term wellness, ensuring every child has the physical foundation to grow and flourish.
Early Education
Ensuring our children are prepared for a lifetime of learning — because education is the most powerful door-opener we can give a child.
Emotional Support
Providing the therapeutic care and individual attention required to overcome trauma — so every child knows they are seen, heard, and valued.
Spiritual Growth
Fostering a sense of value, purpose, and belonging — grounding every child in the knowledge that they are loved, valued, and worthy of a bright future.
